NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING ABROAD?...then read this!
A brand new invention is now available to help British motorists adapt to opposite-side driving when travelling abroad. It is called Get-on-Side, has a patent pending and perfectly complements travel kits currently available. It is as important as your Passport.
It is designed as a constant but gentle reminder during daytime (and urban conditions at night) to stay on the correct side of the road at all times. The message ''keep right'' is reflected as a clear and translucent image up onto the windscreen, within or just below the normal field of vision (a genuine ''head-up-display'')...legible without taking your eyes off the road ahead. It is easy to locate and remove (no adhesives!) and is fitted between the dash and windscreen, or into a demist vent on older cars.
Even experienced foreign travellers will appreciate having Get-on-Side on board, especially if orientation to other road users is lost (such as when leaving a garage or restaurant, approaching a roundabout on an empty road, etc.)...which is when ''old'' habits can kick in hard and painfully! It not only reminds you but gives a friendly reassurance every time you sit in the driver's seat.
To help foreign nationals driving in England Get-on-Side will soon be available in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Czech and even Japanese (yes, we know they drive on the left too!).
An ideal companion for car rental use anywhere in the world where opposite-side driving laws prevail (it slips easily into a pocket). Changing the message from right side to left side is a doddle on returning to home shores, for those critical first few miles.
Please visit the Get-on-Side.com website address to see what the driver sees.
To paraphrase Churchill...never did something so simple contribute so much to safety and well-being when driving abroad!
Bon Voyage!
